The Barnwell County Ministerial Association, with many generous donations, was able to purchase a piece of playground equipment for the playground at Macedonia Elementary School.
Anyone who has ever Visited Macedonia Elementary School has seen the playground equipment that is available to the students. It is over 30 years old, rusted, and unsafe for the children. The Ministerial Association has worked diligently with many partners, including Eat Smart Move More Barnwell County, to get funding to replace this equipment. When the new Superintendent for District #19 was hired on, he made the decision to clear the playground of the equipment that was no longer safe or able to be used, and put some money in a fund for new swing sets.
The Ministerial Association purchased a piece of equipment for the playground called a Camel Climber. Below are pictures of when it was presented to the students and principal.
