Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Education (ATOD 101)

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug education is a course that can be customized for any setting. In ATOD 101, you will receive information on the risks and laws associated with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs.

Week 1:            Overview of course
                           Asking students what they would like to learn about
                           Student Pre-Survey
 Week 2:           Tobacco: Effects of smoking on the body, E-cigarettes, Smokeless Tobacco (dip), and Secondhand Smoke
 Week 3:           Marijuana: Myths/Truths and, the Effects of Marijuana on the Body
 Week 4:           Alcohol: The effects of Alcohol on the Body/Brain, How Alcohol Affects Families, Why Youth Drink
 Week 5:           Other Drugs and the Body: Prescription Pills, Fentanyl, Mushrooms, Molly, etc.
 Week 6:           The Brain: Understanding Addiction and Why Adolescents are at Risk
 Week 7:           Decision Making, Goal Setting and Refusal Skills
 Week 8:           Review of Course
                           Answering any questions students may have
                          Student Post Survey
 *We will also play several games throughout to keep them involved as well as I will have several videos for them to watch throughout the course.
