Our Mission: The Mission of the BCCADA is to empower the residents of Barnwell County to become safer and healthier by reducing the negative effects of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs of abuse, and high-risk behaviors.
Our Vision: To build a healthier community that embraces lifestyle changes through recovery, from problems that arise from alcohol, other substance misuse, and high-risk behaviors.
Who We Are
The Axis I Center of Barnwell is the legislated authority on substance abuse for Barnwell County. It is the county’s only provider of substance abuse treatment and prevention services.
The Axis I Center accepts private insurance, Medicaid, cash, money orders, credit and debit cards. Payment plans are available and no one is denied services due to the inability to pay.
The Axis I Center of Barnwell is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
