PREVENTION SERVICES

The Axis I Center of Barnwell’s Prevention Team is dedicated to empowering and educating youth and parents.  Our program goals are to teach families to address curiosity, peer pressure, and how to cope with internal problems in healthy ways to prevent unhealthy and high-risk behaviors and substance abuse.  The prevention team believes in a a holistic approach to healthy eating, active living, disease prevention, and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free living, which is supported by our many community partners.

INTERNATIONALLY CERTIFIED STAFF

Our Prevention Staff is certified through the South Carolina Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates & the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium.

A reasonable fee structure is offered for self-pay clients.  Medicaid and most commercial health insurance programs are accepted.
